Queen Anne’s Chorale, Inc is a private, non-profit corporation formed in 1989 for the purpose of providing an opportunity for singers in Queen Anne’s County, Maryland, and the surrounding areas to learn and perform a variety of choral literature. QAC singers are aged 16 and up with members representing Maryland counties on both sides of the Bay Bridge.
QAC singers are aged 16 and up with members Maryland counties on both sides of the Bay Bridge. Whether you are new to singing or have a lifetime of experience, we welcome you to join us – no audition is necessary for the main Chorale.
Each concert presents multiple opportunities for more seasoned singers to perform in solos, duets, or our Select Ensemble.
Our repertoire ranges from beloved classical works to show tunes and oldies. We typically perform in two major concerts each year, as well as multiple community outreach concerts.
The Chorale rehearses on Monday nights at Centreville UMC, 608 Church Hill Rd, Centreville, Maryland from 7:00-9:00pm. In general, one rehearsal is held before each major concert at the concert venue.
The concert season extends from September to May and we typically perform two major concerts each year, as well as multiple community outreach concerts. Each concert presents multiple opportunities for more seasoned singers to perform in solos, duets, or our Select Ensemble.
A Board of Directors governs the organization, oversees its operations and secures volunteers as needed for concert presentations and fundraising. The Chorale is supported by member contributions, subscriptions, donations, program advertising and grants from the Maryland State Arts Council, the Queen Anne’s County Arts Council, and the United Way.
